working in a catholic school
Question:
I today started a placement at a catholic school, which involves me helping small groups of difficult children. At the front of each classroom is a large crucifix, which makes me very uncomfortable. I was wandering if it was comparable to being in a church, or if since it is irrelevant to the class it is permitted?
Thankyou!

In my humble opinion, the presence of a crucifix does not make it forbidden for you to be there. It certainly does not make the room into a church. It would be best to carry on as if it is not there.
