Shabbat Ba-Bayit at Midreshet!
With Malka and her family, Fagie and her family, and Rav Ezra and his family, we enjoyed a great shabbaton with the theme of "It's in My Hands." We devoted sessions and activities to helping the girls appreciate the power they have to make a difference for themselves, their communities and their world. The girls imagined themselves as leaders of the Jewish community and made some of the difficult decisions that come with that position. They had a chance to work as a team in "Midreshet Squares," a take-off on Hollywood Squares based on the parshah. They also had a a lot of fun and expressed themselves when they played improvisation games led by Devorah Starr. One of the highlights of the Shabbaton was the staff-versus-student "Taboo" game that took place during the break on Shabbat afternoon. Congratulations to the Miodreshet students on their narrow victory!
