Midreshet Pesach Seder 5769!

This past Sunday night, all of Midreshet converged on the Beit Midrash for our annual Midreshet Pesach Seder! Naturally, this means everyone showed up in costume, as every year -- we had Egyptians, Israelites, Korban Pesachs, people dressed up as all the various plagues, and even a few pyramids wandering around (oh, and Rav Eitan dressed up as a Sukkah... isn't Sukkot six months away?).

This year's new Seder format was "Speed-Seder" stations -- each teacher manned a "station" representing one of the stages of the Seder (Kadesh, Urchatz, Karpas, etc.) and small groups of girls spent just a few minutes at each stage. Every six minutes, Rav Eitan called out "Switch!", and everyone scrambled to the next station. At each station, students furiously scribbled amazing but brief Divrei Torah into the notebooks Midreshet provided, as they drank the first of the Arba Kosot with Michal, munched Karpas with Malka, enjoyed Magid with Neima Novetsky and Rav Aharon Wexler, experienced a mediation visualization with Rav Reiser, lounged and ate "soft matzah" with Rav Krohn, Maror with Bracha Krohn, and ate the best shawarma in pita we've ever tasted, representing Korech with Devorah Chasky Lubner. Yes, it was absolute pandemonium, and it was amazing fun, delicious,  and highly educational! Our students came away energized and with dozens of (brief!) Divrei Torah for the Seder.

After the Costume Parade showcased everyone's sartorial creativity, we ended off musically with Rav Reiser on the accordion, singing the songs of the Seder and ending off with Le-Shanah Ha-Ba'ah Be-Yerushalayyim! May it be so...

We wish all of our students, alumnae and parents a Chag Same'ach Ve-Kasher! If anyone has halakhic (or other) questions over Pesach break, please don't hesitate to be in touch with us and we'll be happy to help. Looking forward to seeing our students again in just a few weeks!
