"Tzevet" (Faculty) Shabbaton
The week began as everyone returned from the first annual "tzevet Shabbaton." This shabbaton was designed for our staff to get to know the students outside the classroom, on a more personal level around their Shabbat tables in their homes. Girls traveled near and far, as the Midreshet staff lives in different communities throughout the greater Jerusalem area and as far as Yad Binyamin and Maaleh Chever.Highlights of this weekend were… Three of our staff members live in the community of Neve Daniel. The girls who went to either Rav Ron, Rav Eitan, or Fagie's all got together for a fun oneg of nosh, playing games, and schmoozing well into the night at the home of Fagie, Aryeh, and Oriyah Reves…..The students who spent Shabbat with our financial administrator, Ruthie Gershinsky, were a 5-minute walk away from the Porath-Zibman home, and they joined the PZ home for Friday night dessert and late night schmoozing as well. The girls who traveled to Rav Reisers community of Maaleh Chever spent Shabbat in an all Israeli community… Girls visiting Yad Binyamin spent Shabbat at the home of one of the Midreshet staff's most recent Olim, Rena Spolter and family….a good time was had by all and our staff very much enjoyed having their students around their Shabbat table.
