- One of the good things about Midreshet is the ability to create your own schedule to suit you personally. With a balance of all different classes and the permission to constantly change and try out different things, the learning becomes immediately enjoyable with a mixture of shiurim, independent Beit Midrash time and free hours to chill out!
- The dorm life was the best part of Midreshet- all of us living on the same hallway is something that not many other schools have. Constant things and activities going on in the common room organized by the girls and with 3 or 4 to a dorm the space was still sufficient.
- One thing that is clear is that the girls are carefully picked in order to create an environment where everyone will get along. I really enjoyed meeting so many different girls from all over America.
Avi Varnai, 07-08, Chicago, Ida Crown
- There was every type of shiur offered that you can think of! They offered different chumash classes, for example Shmot or Bereishit. They had all different types of Halachik classes, and Nach classes. And yes, there were plenty mussar classes to choose from also! Not many other schools had all the options Midreshet gave, and I had a lot more variety than all my friends did in other schools.
- The classes you take are totally up to you. There are always 3 options of classes at a time, but if you do not have any interest in them, feel free to choose Beit Midrash and learn on your own! Its one of the many, many great qualities of Midreshet Moriah! Every class is all different people, which is better for making friends so that way you are not with the same people all day. Making our own schedule was one of the more fun things that we did!
- The teachers and Rabbi'im at Midreshet are there to help the students; to make sure you experience your year in Israel to the fullest. They will sit down and talk to you to help with anything that you need, whether it be rooming issues, giving you their delicious recipes, inviting you to their house for Shabbat, or just to shmooze, all they want is for you to be happy. They also are all open to having chevruta or cheburah with the girls, and I recommend it!!
- Midreshet is very big on Zionism. They teach us the importance of having a Jewish state, and the importance of actually living in it. We attended a Nefesh B'Nefesh flight that was really emotional and showed us all that moving to Israel has finally become a lot easier. Midreshet also planned programs for Yom Hazikaron, Yom Haatzmaut, and Yom Yerushalyim to teach us that we are all part of Klal Yisroel and should celebrate these holidays as a Klal
Sarah Taylor, 06-07, London, England, Hasmonean
- With the options of halacha, hashkafa, mussar, text based, emunah and so much more Midreshet Moriah provides the tools for any Orthodox girl in the modern world wanting to strengthen her own connection with both Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael therefore leaving with a stronger jewish identity and broader knowledge of both our history and religious heritage.
- In Midreshet Moriah the teachers are not just teachers, they are both mentors and friends. They welcome you into their family and truly offer you a home away from home. When you go to Midreshet you automatically become apart of the Midreshet Moriah family!
- Midreshet truly opened my eyes to many different aspects of jewish learning and highlighted the importance of women’s Jewish education. It taught me not to worry about stereotypes or trying to fit into a box that other people define but to strive to live my life by halacha and be the best Eved Hashem I could be.

- Midreshet's Beit Midrash exceeds any other that I have seen, with its variety of wall-to-wall sfarim. It was always amazing to see so many girls at 11:00 at night schmoozing in the Beis with their sfarim (and food!).
- After spending my year at Midreshet, in the dorms, all I can say about it was that it was amazing!!! There is no choice but to form some kind of relationship with every single girl.
- Midreshet would be nothing without the girls! You form relationships that will last for a lifetime, spending quality time with each other every day- from food shopping, to taking a walk to town or the Kotel, or just sitting in your room.
- Midreshet had an everlasting effect on my life, I learned so much. I took the joy of knowing that I established a firm foundation, values and morals of Torah and Israel with which I will, IY"H establish a bayit ne'eman b'yisrael.
